Charles III: The Coronation Year, airing for the first time on BBC1 the following day, was also extremely popular. Based on “unprecedented behind-the-scenes access” to the preparations for the Coronation, the 90-minute BBC documentary allowed King Charles and Queen Camilla to show their funny side.
