Whitelines chats to Farrington

European X-Games gold medallist Kaitlyn Farrington has spoken to Whitelines magazine.

Category: Sports & Outdoors

Title: Whitelines

Whitelines magazine recently spoke to Nikita-sponsored Kaitlyn Farrington about her love for snowboarding, being a professional rider and who she looks up to outside of the sport.

The US pipe expert has been shredding her way into the hearts of European fans of snowboarding over the past year, scooping a gold at the European X-Games and strutting her stuff at a number of other high-profile events.

She even managed to beat Olympic gold medallist and all-round superstar Torah Bright to launch her own profile into the stratosphere.

However, she revealed to the magazine that when she first stepped on a snowboard, other kids laughed at her from the chairlift.

Ms Farrington may be the one laughing now though, with a home in Salt Lake City and a reputation that is spreading around the world.

Despite her love for being a pro rider, the star admitted that she finds very little time to go snowboarding just for the fun of it.

She suggested that once the competition season is completed, she may take some time for some "soul shredding", but until then she will be committed to going bigger and better than ever before.

The Winter X-Games took place in Tignes, France. Other French resorts include Risoul, Les Deus Alpes and Alpe D'huez.
