Celtic View subscription holders may be interested to know that the club have completed the signing of Dutch defender Jos Hooiveld.
The centre-half joined from AIK Stockholm on a three-and-a-half year deal and was quick to state his delight at joining such an illustrious club.
He said that Celtic has a "magnificent history" and is a club that values its supporters and tradition.
"Having visited the club and spoken to the manager, I feel this is the right place for me and I am very much looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and hopefully playing my part in bringing success to the club and our fans," he told the club website.
Hooiveld has enjoyed spells at Finnish club Inter Turku, Austria's Kapfenberger SV and Dutch teams Heerenveen and FC Zwolle.
Manager Tony Mowbray said he was looking forward to working with the Dutchman, but his arrival may increase speculation that defender Garry Caldwell, whose contract is up in the summer, could be set to leave Celtic Park.
