The latest edition of Bowls International leads with the announcement of England's 'Women's Bowler of the Year'.
The magazine also nominates the 'Junior Women's Bowler of the Year', plus there is a feature with an administrator who is still active at 90.
Also in the January issue, John Price begins a new series which reviews bowls on the market in the UK. The Welshman became World Champion in 1990, and he is perfectly placed to advise the ordinary fan on what to buy and what to avoid.
Elsewhere, Tony Allcock, the chief executive of Bowls England and former World Champion, offers some useful coaching tips to emerging players.
The release of the January edition coincides with the World Indoor Bowls Championship in Norfolk.
The event is being held at Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton-on-sea, and has attracted competitors from the UK, South Africa, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
This month's edition includes an in-depth preview of the competition, with the full details of the playing schedule and the draw.
