We think we’ve seen actor Joe Manganiello more often shirtless than we have with his top half covered, so it’s no surprise that he’s Men’s Health magazine’s July cover star.
The True Blood actor shares his fitness tips with the magazine so that they too can be as ripped as he is...
He recently starred in Magic Mike, a film about male strippers and discussing how he got into shape, he says: "It was more the fact that we all had to be shirtless pretty much everyday for two weeks, which gets to be pretty tricky. So we spend a fortnight doing thousands of push-ups, thousands of curls, thousands of lat raises.
"We basically spent every day working out for two weeks in a row. After that I needed a pretty hardcore vacation. But it was worth it. It was the most fun, I've ever had in my life. One hundred per cent."
He also cites Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of his biggest inspirations and has even had tips from him on how to look better. “Arnie was a hero to me,” he says. “He’s the reason why every guy of our generation started going to the gym. To film with him for four months was awesome. And he still trains every morning.”
