Brad Pitt tells Esquire he’s the happiest he’s ever been

Brad Pitt talks to Esquire about family life and why he's never been happier.

Last week Angelina Jolie opened up about her double mastectomy and we can only imagine how awful it must have been for her and her family. However, the couple and their brood of six don’t seem to be dwelling on it and instead continue to live life to the fullest.

Partner Brad Pitt is featured in Esquire USA magazine’s latest issue – which was conducted before the news broke – and talks about how happy he is.

“I have very few friends,” he tells the magazine. “I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven’t known life to be any happier. I’m making things. I just haven’t known life to be any happier.”

He also talks about having his children around him: “I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big. I wanted there to be chaos in the house… there’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it. I hate it when they’re gone. I hate it. Maybe it’s nice to be in a hotel room for a day – ‘Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.’ But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life.”
