If you’re a fan of the Sunday Times magazine that comes free with your Sunday Times newspaper subscription, then no doubt you’ll have heard of their exhibition that has been on display at the Saatchi gallery throughout February and March to celebrate their 50th year in print.
The exhibition shows the work of some of the best photographers from around the globe who have contributed to the magazine over the past 50 years - including Don McCullin, David Bailey, Sam Taylor-Wood, and Eve Arnold. There are also contributions from writers such as Jilly Cooper, Ian Fleming and Bruce Chatwin.
The exhibition has seen around 200,000 visitors and has already been extended twice, but it you wanted to head over to the Saatchi Gallery to check it out, we’re afraid you’ve missed your chance. But not to worry, you can still catch it on its regional tour.
The exhibition will be on display at Paintworks in Bristol from Saturday 24th March until Tuesday 3rd April, Cube in Manchester from Wednesday 11th April until Tuesday 24th April and Waterhall in Birmingham from Tuesday 22nd May until Saturday 2nd June. The exhibitions will be open Monday to Saturday between 10am and 6pm and entry is completely free!
Speaking of the magazine’s success, editor Sarah Baxter says: “We’re still here and producing the most exciting journalism and photography in the business. I grew up with The Sunday Times Magazine and am proud to be continuing a glorious tradition.”
Hopefully you can make it to one of the exhibitions near you – if not, be sure to enjoy your weekly copy of the Sunday Times magazine with your Sunday Time newspaper subscription.
