Anyone with a Saga magazine subscription can read all about the over 50s who still wear high heels.
According to a poll by the mag, 72 per cent of women aged 50 or over still wear heels.
Some 42 per cent of women under 70 who were polled by Saga magazine said they wear heeled shoes regularly, while 30 per cent get them out for special occasions.
Court shoes proved to be the most popular type of heels, with 73 per cent of the women surveyed admitting to wearing those.
Kitten shoes came in second place for popularity, with 30 per cent of those surveyed by Saga magazine saying they opted for those shoes.
Only two per cent of the females said they wear "super-high heels".
Commenting on the survey, Lorraine Jones from the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, said it is important for women to remember that wearing heels regularly can shorten calf muscles and increase rubbing, which can exacerbate bunions.
