James Marsden has played a number of romantic heros in his time, but he confesses to Out magazine that it’s not a role that comes naturally to him.
The actor is the cover star of Out magazine’s September issue and spoke about his career. "I'm actually less comfortable being the smouldering hot guy," he said. "I know I have a face like a model, but I'm actually just a goofy drama nerd underneath."
He also admits that he’s useless at knowing whether or not films he’s appearing in will be well received or not.
"I never set out to make a bad movie," he said. "Some movies just turn out bad, and I want to scream, 'Why did you pick that take?' Then there are some movies that I've been in that I was sure people would laugh at, that have become huge. I thought The Notebook was going to be a schmaltzy Movie of the Week-type thing, and here we are!"
