Homeland's Claire Danes on GQ Cover

Check out Claire Danes on the cover of GQ's September issue!

If you have a GQ magazine subscription then you'll have just received the September issue, featuring a very gorgeous looking Claire Danes on the cover. The actress has been thrust back into the spotlight after the huge success of the television series Homeland, in which she plays a bi-polar CIA agent named Carrie Mathison.

Homeland has had huge critical acclaim and as the actress has signed up to star in seven series (which fans will be glad to hear) she won't be disappearing any time soon - even though she has just announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

GQ caught up with the actress when she was filming the second series of the show, which will air in the UK this autumn. Danes spends 5 months of the year in Charlotte, filming in the show and admits that it's tough being away from husband Hugh Dancy. How does she cope knowing she has seven years of this?

"Yeah, seven years, it's a long-ass time. But I was thinking about it, like, I could think of it as a prison sentence, or I could think of it as an insurance. Every year I'm going to have something really compelling to do. I remember, it came up on the same weekend that I had read for the secretary role on the J Edgar movie (which starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Danes' former co-star on Romeo + Juliet) and I was like, 'Do I want to play the secretary to some really compelling person, or do I just wanna play the f***ing compelling person?"

We see her point and we're glad she made the choice she did! To read the rest of the interview, check out the September issue of GQ before you subscribe and save on a GQ magazine subscription today.
