Twilight actresses seem to be gracing the cover of every magazine this month it seems – Ashley Greene is on the cover of GQ, Dakota Fanning is on InStyle and Kristen Stewart... well she’s usually on the cover of at least one weekly magazine!
It’s not really a surprise as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is released next week and as it’s the last film in the saga, like Ron Burgundy it’s kind of a big deal.
Greene oozes retro glamour in the photo shoot which accompanies her interview with the magazine. Being part of a huge franchise such as Twilight has meant that she has been thrust into the spotlight, so to cope with Hollywood life she has had to create her own set of rules to live by. Her rules include – always make a lasting impression, keep your mother as far away from your career as possible and don’t feed the gossip-mongers.
The thing that usually gets picked up on gossip sites is your love life but Greene tries to keep it as private as possible, which has proved difficult after relationships with the likes of Joe Jonas, Jared Followill and most recently Broadway star Reeve Carney and she’s often the subject of rumours.
“It’s really frustrating whenever I can’t go and do something because I know it’s going to be on the internet,” she says. “Like if I want to go to a friend’s house, they’ll be, ‘She’s dating him!’ It’s like, ‘Oh, am I dating my brother now? Is that what’s happening?’ Or when they write that I was with a ‘mystery man’, and I’m like, ‘He’s gay, by the way, so it IS a mystery!’”
