Yesterday we were saying how great Cameron Diaz looks at 40-years-old, now it’s Salma Hayek who is blowing us away.
The actress is on the cover of the November issue of our Harper’s Bazaar magazine subscription looking rather sultry in a very tight-fitting black Bottega Veneta dress. Any hot-blooded male would think she looks amazing, and she’s 46-years-old!
Hayek is well aware of her age and how difficult it can be getting older in her industry. “The worst thing you can be in Hollywood is a woman and over 40,” she says. “On top of that, I have an accent, am dyslexic, short and chubby. You name it I have it, but I am here. I must be the luckiest girl in the world to be working.”
Short and chubby – oh, how we laugh. The actress has a body that millions would kill for. She doesn’t agree with the fashion world’s promotion that to be beautiful you have to be skinny – which, with her curves, she proves is not the case.
“In recent years, we have had to fight against our genetic nature to look like little boys, to be socially accepted as beautiful. It used to be that a young girl couldn’t wait to grow up and take the shape of a woman. Now our goal is regression, to look younger and like a child. There has not been enough diversity of boy shape in fashion.”
