Jennifer Lawrence ignores boyfriend Nicholas Hoult

Jennifer Lawrence chats to Marie Claire USA about the importance of girlfriends, ignoring Nicholas and being rude.

Jennifer Lawrence is that girl that guys would love have as a girlfriend and girls would love to have as a girl friend. Speaking to Marie Claire USA she says that female friends are very important. "I don't trust a girl who doesn't have any girlfriends," she tells the magazine. "I have really close girlfriends, but they are guys like me -- girls who eat and don't know anything about fashion."

As for boyfriends, there’s only one man for her and that’s Nicholas Hoult. The pair are back on after a brief split last year. We often hear of celebs making time for one another when they’re busy, though J-Law has a different approach – she just ignores him.

"When we're busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn't text back or call. Life's super-busy,” she says. “Obviously you know what they're doing, and you trust them. We're so young that it would almost be like if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We'd be living together. At least this way he's in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other."

One of the reasons the actress is so admired is because of her ability to just say things how they are, though it seems it’s not intentional on her part. "I'm not like, 'I'm a rebel; I'm out of control.' I just don't think about things before I say them or do them," she says.

And although she comes across as one of the most polite Hollywood stars ever, she says she has changed. "I'm a lot more closed off and frankly probably rude. I mean, I'm from Kentucky. I used to be very personable and make eye contact and smile at people, and now all I do is look down. When I'm at dinner and one person after another keeps interrupting to take pictures, it's like, 'I can't live like this.'"
