Months of speculation has surrounded the apparently blossoming romance between Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough, but now, people with a Grazia magazine subscription have been told that the relationship is a "cover up".
Cheryl's close pal boxer Amir Khan has told Grazia magazine that the relationship between the pair is actually fake and was contrived to put off the paparazzi.
The pair are extremely close, they have been been snapped together numerous times lately, but they are just friends, according to Khan.
"I had dinner with Cheryl and Derek in LA last week,' the 23-year-old told Grazia magazine.
"He's not her boyfriend. They're not going out. It's all just a cover-up to keep photographers at bay."
Just last month, Cheryl was hospitalised after contracting malaria on a holiday to Tanzania with dancer Derek.
The Girls Aloud singer collapsed during a photoshoot and was rushed to hospital after her condition deteriorated rapidly.
