Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh told Vanity Fair magazine women should always use their third finger - ring finger - to apply eye cream.
This is because that digit is your weakest one, meaning you're less "likely to apply excessive pressure to the sensitive, susceptible skin around the eye area".
He advised Vanity Fair magazine readers to pat cream on, rather than massaging it in.
Dr Bradford Katchen, talking to Vanity Fair magazine, said it is "essential to wear sunscreen at all times, even when you're in your car, at the office, or at home". This is because UVA rays can penetrate lots of surfaces, including glass window panes.
Bevis Man from the British Skin Foundation said recently it is advisable for adults to use sunscreen "of at least SPF 30 that has a UVA star rating of four or ideally five stars".
