Empire Release Blade Runner 2049 Cover

The subscriber only cover combines the neon artwork of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi original with a silhouette of Ryan Gosling’s character from the upcoming sequel…

It’s one of the most eagerly awaited sequels in cinema history, and with Blade Runner 2049 just around the corner, Empire magazine have released a limited edition tribute cover for the mag’s subscribers only.

Featuring Ryan Gosling’s Officer K against a backdrop of a neon sci-fi city, the new cover is a specially-commissioned artwork from supremo twin brother design duo, Van Orton.

35 years after Ridley Scott’s original take on the world of Phillip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, Blade Runner 2049 features newcomers Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto and Robin Wright alongside Harrison Ford, who reprises his famed role from the first movie. The project is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival) and will be released in early October.
