X Factor hopeful Cher Lloyd has made it on to NME's exclusive annual Cool List.
People with an NME magazine subscription might be surprised to see the 17-year-old singer/rapper on the list with the likes of Lady Gaga and Jay-Z, however, editors ranked her at number 66.
The magazine's Jaimie Hodgson said that the 17-year-old from Malvern is relevant and in touch, adding: "Watching her 'do her thang' in front of monsieurs Walsh and Cowell's dropped jaws genuinely felt a bit subversive and special."
Laura Marling topped the cool list, followed by Janelle Monae and Kanye West.
Beth Cosentino of Best Coast and The XX's Romy Madley Croft completed the top five.
Cher was voted through to the next X Factor live show after performing a mash-up of Black Street's No Diggity and Shout.
She garnered rave reviews from the judges, including Simon Cowell who said: "I can only tell you Cher it didn't feel like someone taking part in a competition, it felt like someone who had had five hit records and was putting in a performance. You are so confident."
