Title: Total Film
Music videos have been paying homage to feature films for years, but one movie magazine has sought to define the best efforts in a list.
Total Film has constructed a top 12 of the music vids that tip their proverbial hat to the silver screen.
Included is Michael Jackson's Thriller - an epic cult video in its own right - which pays tribute to good old fashioned horror movies.
The video itself is 14 minutes long and was directed by none other than An American Werewolf In London's John Landis.
According to the magazine, even the lyrics of the song are linked to the horror genre, with talk of "something lurking in the dark".
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga's parody of Kill Bill and Thelma & Louise is hard to miss in the video for Telephone.
The eccentric singer's video is only loosely related to the actual lyrics, but her performance with Beyonce Knowles does bear a striking resemblance to the classic flicks mentioned above.
Lady Gaga's other hits include Paparazzi and Poker Face.
