Total Film magazine subscription holders may be interested to learn that the magazine has constructed a list of the 34 best cult movies of all time.
The list includes a number of favourites from the 1980s, including Labyrinth, which starred David Bowie and was first released in 1986.
At number one was The Big Lebowski, which has its own two-day festival celebrating the film, with a screening, bowling session and star appearances.
The movie follows the fortunes of The Dude, who is one of the cinema world's laziest and unlikely detectives of all time, according to the magazine.
Now a cult character, The Dude's life consists of bowling, smoking and relaxing with a dressing gown, sandals and White Russian cocktails.
Other movies in the top five include Fight Club, which features Edward Norton, Helena Bonham Carter and Brad Pitt.
The flick follows Norton's character as he battles with insomnia before meeting Tyler Durden, with whom he sets up an underground bare-knuckle boxing club that spirals out of control.
