We’ve long known that Rihanna doesn’t give a fig about what people think of her, but some are saying she has gone too far after posting four Instagram photos featuring her majesty. In the series of snaps the Umbrella singer is wearing some of her more iconic outfits, not to mention saucy, with the Queen’s head Photoshopped over her own.
In one particularly well-edited image, RiRi is wearing a furry coat with thigh-high stiletto boots which perfectly match Queen Elizabeth’s own pea-green suit. In another slightly less convincing pic she dons a heart-shaped Saint Laurent coat with the superimposed face covered by sunglasses.
While many of Rihanna’s 52.4 million Instagram followers saw the funny side, others were horrified. One follower told Rihanna: "You should be ashamed of yourself! Disgusting." While others simply pointed out that the photos were disrespectful.
Perhaps the Pop starlet intended the posts to be complimentary in honour of Her majesty’s 91st birthday on Friday The 21st of April, however it’s seems likely that Queen Elizabeth would not be amused. Off with her head!
