P. Diddy 'too nervous to sing'

NME magazine subscription holders can read how rap star P. Diddy has revealed he's too scared to sing with his new band Diddy-Dirty Money.

Music fans with an NME magazine subscription can read how rapper P. Diddy is worried about performing with his new band Diddy-Dirty Money.

He may come across as calm and laid back, but the US music mogul confessed his fear of singing with the group he has formed.

"There's definitely nerves. It's nerve-wracking because there's more singing for me. You have a new concept, and it took people a while to buy into it," he told NME magazine. "I think a lot of times people forget how many hits I've had."

"I take pride in having hit records that still play in clubs now. I take people on a musical journey, and when we bring that up to date it just gets even more intense," he added.

The artist, whose real name is Sean Combs, has had a number of top hits, including I'll Be Missing You, when he was formerly known as Puff Daddy.
