Abbey Clancy is high on the media radar this week after her marriage to long-term boyfriend, footballer Peter Crouch. The couple tied-the-knot on Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, near Melton Mowbray. The model wore a Giles Deacon dress, who she’s modelled for in the past.
And as if Abbey Clancy didn’t already provoke enough envy in other women for her lavish lifestyle and gorgeous looks, she’s now going to be in every new mother’s bad books. Those of you who have an Esquire magazine subscription will see that just one month after the birth of her daughter Sophia, Clancy was photographed for the August issue cover and she looks amazing!
Clancy is pictured in several poses on a motorbike with her flat-as-an-ironing-board stomach proudly on display and not a stretch-mark in sight. Surely it must be photo-shopped?
Obviously, being a men’s magazine the interview doesn’t go into great detail as to how she lost the weight – except that Clancy claims it “just fell off”. Yeah, right.
We’re sure that fellow-WAG Victoria Beckham, who is due to give birth to a baby girl today, is hoping that her pre-baby figure will come back as soon as Abbey Clancy’s did.
Of course, there’s more to the Esquire interview than the photo shoot, she also talks about the stigma attached to being a WAG, her obsession with fake tan as a school girl and her days in girl band Genie Queen.
But what most readers are sure to be interested in is why she would want to marry and start a family with Peter Crouch after the allegations that he had cheated on her.
“If you’re really in love with someone,” she says. “I mean madly in love, and happy every single day, how can you just go, ‘Well that’s it then’? You can’t just end how you feel overnight...“
Whatever happened in the past, Clancy seems very happy with her new husband and baby and we (begrudgingly) wish her all the best.
