The question of whether Suits actress Meghan Markle is princess material appears to have been answered by Good Housekeeping magazine, who feature the beauty in their June issue. In the candid interview, which originally ran the American issue of the magazine last August - before she began dating Harry, she reveals a talent for calligraphy. A most ladylike pursuit!
‘I used to be a calligrapher for weddings and events – that was my side job while I was auditioning’ she said. ‘I think handwritten notes are a lost art form. When I booked my first [TV] pilot, my dad wrote me a letter that I still have. The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.’
She also expressed a love for cooking, saying “there is honestly nothing as delicious (or as impressive, in my opinion) as a perfectly roasted chicken,” and explains that the secret to travelling is to remain ‘refined’, adding: “Definitely wear sneakers, don’t wear heels. I always pack a cashmere throw so that you stay warm on your flight too.”
Talented, classy and an excellent chef, it’s not hard to understand what the Prince sees in Miss Markle!
