Holly Willoughby rushed to support fellow presenter Ferne McCann as she broke down in tears upon her highly-anticipated return to This Morning. Ferne has had a troubling few weeks after it was revealed her former boyfriend Arthur Collins was linked to an acid attack at an East London nightclub. And just days after the news broke, the 26-year-old confirmed she was pregnant with Arthur's child.
Ferne has been noticeably absent from social media having taken a few weeks off to deal with the highly stressful situation, but made an extremely emotional return to This Morning to exclusively discuss everything with Phillip and Holly.
Though unable to discuss her former partner due to ‘legal reasons’, the Made In Essex star was happy to talk about her pregnancy and described it as a 'blessing', before becoming visibly emotional when she revealed the level of support she has received from the public.
Ferne explained: “I think being in the public eye was a concern for me. I thought: ‘Are the public going to judge me? Are they going to have an opinion - which they are entitled to?
“I think that was natural feelings to have, however I actually didn’t need to worry because the public have been - I want to get my words out - so amazing and so supportive and that has been what’s got me through.”
She also tearfully revealed that many single mothers have offered her support, before both Holly and Phillip rushed to console her, giving the mum-to-be an enormous hug.
