After winning awards at both the Oscars and the Golden Globes in 2015 for his performance as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, the arrival of his baby girl Iris must be another life changing achievement for the 34 year old actor.
Eddie and Hannah first met whilst Eddie was at Eton College, and Hannah was at a boarding school nearby. The pair started dating in 2012, getting married at Babington House just before the Christmas of 2014 with a winter wonderland themed ceremony. They confirmed Hannah’s pregnancy in January this year at the Golden Globes.
At the Oscars, Eddie told the US TV show Extra in February that they were waiting till the birth to find out the sex of their baby, saying ‘We want to be surprised. It will be a big surprise either way!’. We’re sure he’s delighted with a daughter. He also admitted to being a little nervous about parenthood in the run up to the birth, ‘It’s quite a few months away, but we started looking at all the logistics. The list of things you’re meant to get before going to the hospital… It’s a long list of things right there!’.
Over the next few months, Eddie will no doubt be doting over his new baby girl Iris, whilst also staring as Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them which hits cinemas in November this year.
