Never known to be one not to speak her mind, young star Chloe Grace Moretz has this time taken on one of her own movies, after a billboard for the animated project – titled Red Shoes & the 7 Dwarfs – was condemned by many as being “body-shaming.”
The billboard for Snow White adaptation Red Shoes & the 7 Dwarfs was unveiled at Cannes Film Festival and features two women standing next to each other – one taller and slimmer than the other – with the tagline: “What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?”
And now Moretz has responded to criticism by posting a series of tweets explaining that she too is “angry and appalled” by the marketing strategy.
