It was an announcement that shocked the world (but has since somewhat paled in comparison to other unexpected global events…), and the former prefix of ‘Brangelina’ has broken his media silence on the red carpet at his new film’s premiere, and has had the investigation into alleged ‘abusive behaviour’ dropped.
“It's really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here,” Pitt told E! News as he greeted fans with Allied co-star Marion Cotillard. “It's really nice to have all the support.”
The comments came has news broke that the investigation into claims that Pitt struck his and Angelina’s adopted son Maddox on a plane were dropped by social workers in LA. Jolie has been seeking sole custody of the couple’s six children, whilst Pitt has recently put in a claim for joint custody.
Jolie filed for divorce in September after a year of marriage, days after Pitt was involved in a disturbance during a private flight with his family. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup, and an attorney said at the time she filed for divorce “for the health of the family.”
