NME has a great piece of news for Blur fans this week, straight from the mouth of singer Damon Albarn.

He told the magazine's website that the band plan to do more studio recording to follow up the recent Fools Day, which was committed to vinyl to celebrate Record Store Day.

According to the frontman, the popular quartet will get back together in the studio in future, but fans should not expect an album.

"I'm definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches," he told NME. "I love the no pressure aspect."

However, with a Gorillaz UK arena tour just announced, Albarn is set for a busy year and suggested that fans of Blur might have to wait for more singles to be released.

He is also set to work on a new opera with Jamie Hewlett and Alan Moore, meaning that 2010 will indeed be an action-packed year for the man who brought us Coffee And TV and Song 2.
