Hearts broke globally when it was announced he would wed, and now infamous silver fox George Clooney has become a first-time father at the fabulous age of 56 to twins Ella and Alexander.
The good news was revealed by publicist Stan Rosenfield in an email: “This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,” he said before adding cheekily: “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”
George wed human rights lawyer Amal in a lavish ceremony in Italy in 2014, and the couple have since garnered a reputation for being one of the most powerful, not to mention glamorous, couples in showbusiness. Though it is not yet clear where the twins were delivered, the couple have been spending a lot of time in the UK, and there are rumours that Amal gave birth in the same London hospital that Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their son Bear in, back in March.
