He recently won an Emmy for playing the current American President, but the accolade hasn’t softened Alec Baldwin’s views of Donald Trump as he declared to British GQ: “Now, I am by no means comparing Trump to Hitler, I would never do that... What you see with Trump is how Hitler got elected. Someone who will say anything to people because of their economic interest.”
Having enjoyed somewhat of a career renaissance in recent years thanks to the huge success of sitcom 30 Rock and his poignant Saturday Night Live sketches, the 59-year-old actor appears to be in fine form on the cover as he joyously swings a gold club next to the caption: ‘Still Swinging’.
He also takes the opportunity to clarify once and for all, his feelings towards the man he has become synonymous with this year, saying: “I don’t hate him (Trump). I mean, the longer he’s in office the more unhappy I am. It just makes it harder. It doesn’t make it impossible... It’s not like I have to take a shower or something.”
