With 2010 now well underway, now might be a good time for Christianity magazine subscription holders to take a break and make time for God.
The publication has produced a number of tips for improving your spiritual wellbeing in a world where time for reflection is often scarce.
Christ Church minister Reverend Richard Perkins told the magazine that a busy life is not necessarily a negative thing but that time should still be made for God.
"[My congregation are] busy with work commitments, with church responsibilities, with recreational activity and with social relationships," he said, explaining how it is still possible to make time for spirituality.
Former Microsoft executive Linda Stone added that the continual bombardment of digital information can cause people to become distracted with things that do not really matter in the scheme of things.
The magazine suggested that such an onslaught of info can lead to an "impoverished spiritual life" and suggested that readers do not lose touch with what matters.
Another recent feature looked at how to stop people leaving the church, with 1.5 million members dropping away between 1989 and 2005.
